To make a wedding invitation video, collect every name, date, time and venue first, check the spellings and weekdays with your family, write a short script in your language, pick music you are allowed to use, and keep the film under about a minute. Export it vertically for phones and watch it on WhatsApp before you send it to anyone.

1. Collect every detail before you design anything

Write down the couple's names, both families, every event with its date, time and venue, a map link for each venue, and who is inviting. Designing first and filling in details later is how mistakes get in.

2. Check spellings, dates and weekdays

Read every name with the person it belongs to. Check that each date matches its weekday, and that the muhurtham time is exactly as the purohit gave it. A wrong weekday is one of the most common mistakes on invitations.

3. Choose the language and script

Decide which languages your guests read. If you use Telugu, Tamil or Hindi script, use a proper font for that script and have someone who reads it check every line. Broken letters are easy to miss if you do not read the script yourself.

4. Write a short script

Plan the order: a blessing or opening line, the couple, the families, each event, and a closing line asking guests to attend. Fewer words on screen read better on a phone.

5. Pick music you are allowed to use

Film songs are protected by copyright and a video that uses one can be muted or blocked when posted on Instagram or YouTube. Royalty-free music libraries, or instrumental music you have rights to, avoid that.

6. Keep it short

Guests watch on their phones, often in a busy chat. Aim for 15 to 30 seconds (up to a minute if you have many events), and make sure the names and the main date are on screen long enough to read.

7. Export vertically for phones

Use a vertical 9:16 frame, such as 1080 by 1920 pixels, so it fills the phone screen on WhatsApp and Instagram. Make a matching still image for guests who prefer a card.

8. Test it on WhatsApp before you send it

Send it to yourself and one relative first. Check that it plays, that the text is readable on a small screen and that nothing is cut off. Then send it to everyone.

When to hire a studio instead

If you are short of time, need two or more scripts set correctly, or want a designed film rather than a template, a studio saves you the trial and error. We send a free 10-second preview with your names before you pay, and the Wedding Film is ₹4,999 with two languages and two rounds of changes.

Questions families ask

How long should a wedding invitation video be?

15 to 30 seconds is enough for the names, the date and the venue; allow up to a minute for several events. Longer films are often skipped on WhatsApp.

How do I make a wedding invitation video on mobile?

Use any video editing app on your phone: add your photos or a background, add the text in order, add music you are allowed to use, and export in vertical 9:16. Check every name and date before you send it.

What size should a WhatsApp invitation video be?

Make it vertical, 9:16, for example 1080 by 1920 pixels, so it fills the screen on a phone.

Can I use a film song in my wedding invitation video?

Film songs are copyrighted. A video that uses one can be muted or blocked on Instagram and YouTube. Royalty-free or licensed music is safer.

Can Toran make the video if I have already started?

Yes. Send us your details, your draft and the style you like, and we send a free 10-second preview with your names.
